Hillary Criticizing Obama

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0208/8453.html Hillary Clinton has been attacking Barack Obama, saying, "She would fight important fights when he would back down." She also accuses him of being vague and unclear. She said, "You never hear the specifics. It's all kind of abstract, general talk about how we all need to get along." She says that she, on the other hand, will get along, but also stand her own ground because there are fights worth having. I don't think that because Obama says that he wants to get along with the Republicans means that he will not fight for what he believes in. I think that he definitely will; however, Hillary is implying that Obama is weak while she is a fighter. I don't think Obama has shown any signs of not being fighter--he has definitely shown that he is a fighter based on how the campaign is unfolding.

In the same article, Hillary was asked for assurance that "no new business or personal scandal involving Bill Clinton could erupt if she were in the White House and give fodder to Republicans." Hillary says that she assures that that is not going to happen. She explained that the future cannot be predicted, but she has confidence that nothing like that will happen. With the previous scandal, I am sure that her, Bill, and her campaign staff will assure that nothing like that will occur again if she were to be elected, and if it did, I am sure they would do everything in their power to keep it covered up.

I absolutely agree with you in regards to the Clinton's keeping controversy out of the White House. I think that they've definitely learned from their mistakes, and that they know better this time around. This also is the reason that I think that Hillary will make a great President, because of her experience and the mistakes that he's already seen and learned from firsthand.

Hillary may try to keep controversy out of the WH all she wants, but I've heard from a journalism teacher here in Annenberg that the Washington Post is sitting on a story about Bill Clinton and his current girlfriend...Apparently they have pictures, quotes, know who this lady is and everything, but are dealing with a number of ethical dilemmas: If printed, does it look like the WP is trying to sabotage the Clinton campaign? Is this gossip, or is it real, legitimate news? I think Hillary knew of Bill's "ways" when she married him, and if he couldn't keep controversy out of the Arkansas Capitol nor the White House when *he* was president, I'm not sure what type of leash Hillary will have on him now... I do think it would be an absolute shame if any of his antics tint what could e a pretty solid Presidential career for Hillary if she gets the nod and does a good job.
