Florida and Michigan Voices

For the last three months the topic of delegates from Florida and Michigan who had their primaries early despite the instruction of DNC was on and off the media cycles. One of the reasons why this issue periodically makes the news is the fact that there is no easy solution for this problem (if any solution at exists). Both Democratic candidates now and then try to bring the Florida and Michigan back to the discussion, but so far, there was no progress made. However, by refusing to seat the delegates from these two states, the DNC brings even more problems to the party. First of all by denying the votes of millions of people, party officials not only question the democratic system (a vote is a vote regardless of when it was cast) but they also make these people angry at the Democratic Party. This may lead to decrease in participation in the general election or even worse, Florida and/or Michigan Democrats voting fro McCaine, which is not unlikely taking into account results of the previous elections.

Even though Florida and Michigan did not play by the rules, DNC has the obligation to resolve the problem of state’s delegates as soon as possible to minimize the damage to the unity and support of Democratic Party in the general election.
